Price Performance Indicators

Close>60d Mov Avg - Closing price is above 60 day moving average of closing price. This is the number of days in that last year that the closing price was above the 60-day moving average of price. This indicates if the share price persists above its medium-term average price. The higher the value, the stronger the price performance. If the price is above the 60 day moving average of price, the chart will be rising.

Close>126d Mov Avg - Closing price is above 126 day moving average of closing price. The same as the Close>60d Mov Avg indicator except over 126 trading days or 6 months.

Close>252d Mov Avg - Closing price is above 252 day moving average of closing price. As for the Close>126d Mov Avg indicator except over 252 trading days or 1 year.

60d Avg>200d Avg - 60 day moving average of price is above the 200 day moving average of price. The number of days the 60-day moving average of price was above the 200d moving average of price. The higher the number of days, the stronger the price perforamnace. 60-day and 200-day moving averages are popular time frames to consider.

No. Swings > 5% - Number of closing price swings greater than 5%. This is the number of closing price swings greater than 5% in the last 30 days. It is a measure of volatility and higher scores may indicate a difficult trade psychology to live with.

No. of Overnight Gap Downs - Number of overnight gap downs in the closing price. This is the number of times the opening price has gapped down from the prior days closing price. Gap downs are a measure of volatility and price persistence.

Largest Gap Down - This is the % value of the largest overnight gap down in the closing price. Large values increase the risk of being stopped out of a trade overnight. It is a measure of volatlity.

No. of Close Cross 60d Avg - Number of closing prices that crossed below the 60 day moving average. This is the number of times the closing price crossed from above to below the 60-day moving average of price. This is a measure of volatility. High scores in this indicator will drag down the price persistence score.

Highest to Lowest 1 yr - This is the percent value of the difference between the highest price in the last year and the lowest price in the last year. It is the high to low range.

Lowest Close Since 52W High - This is the lowest closing price following (or since) the 52-week high. It is not the range as it does not take into account the closing prices before the 52-week high. It indicates how much support there is for the 52 week high.

Price Growth - This is the simple percentage change in price over the prior:

  • The last year or 252 days of trading

  • The last 6 months of trading

  • The last 3 months of trading

  • The last 20 days of trading

Days with No Price Change - This is the number of days when the open and closing prices were the same. Note, the price may have gone higher or lower during the session, but finished uunchanged from the open.

50d Avg Turnover - 50 day average turnover of shares. This is the 50-day moving average of the daily turnover of shares.

10d Avg Turnover - 10 day average turnover of shares. This is the 10-day moving average of the daily turnover.

Turnover - Turnover is the closing price multiplied by the number of shares traded on a day to day basis.

50d Avg of Volume - 50 day average of volume. This is the average volume of shares traded over a 50-day period.

10d Avg of Volume - 10 day average of volume. This is the average volume of shares traded over a 10-day period.
